Winston-Salem, located in North Central North Carolina in an area referred to as the Piedmont Triad can trace its roots all the way back to 1766. While it is the second largest city in the triad, it does host the largest office buildings in the downtown area. Winston-Salem, colloquially referred to as “the hyphen” is the 4^th largest city in North Carolina with a population of approximately 229,000 at last count by the US Census in 2010.
